Date of Event: 23rd September, 2026

Organised by: Maharishi Industry Relations Cell & Maharishi School of Engineering and Technology in association with and IQAC

Objective: Maharishi Industry Relations Cell and Maharishi School of Engineering & Technology (Maharishi University, Lucknow Campus), in association with IQAC, organized an industrial visit to the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Lucknow on 23rd September 2026. The visit was organized with to provide students practical exposure to industrial processes, advanced technologies, and applications related to plastics, petrochemicals, and engineering.

Participants: Diploma and B. Tech (EE, ME) 3rd semester students.

Visit Details: During the visit, students were introduced to various plastic engineering and technology processes, including material processing, moulding techniques, manufacturing practices, and quality-related procedures. The students observed different equipment and machinery used in the processing and manufacturing of plastic products and gained an understanding of how theoretical concepts are applied in real-world industrial environments.

The visit was guided by Miss Simar Upadhyaya and Mr. Anurag Pandey (Academic Coordinator, CIPET, Lucknow), who explained the functioning of various facilities and processes to the students. The interaction helped students understand the significance of modern manufacturing technologies, material selection, processing methods, and quality control in the plastics and engineering industries. Students actively participated in the visit and clarified their queries through discussions with the resource persons.

The students were also taken through different laboratory facilities, processing units, and testing areas, where they gained practical exposure to the equipment and techniques used in the plastics industry. They observed the working of various machines involved in plastic processing and manufacturing and learned about the importance of precision, safety measures, operational procedures, and systematic testing in industrial applications. This practical exposure helped students develop a better understanding of the relationship between engineering principles and industrial practices.

The visit also provided an opportunity for students to interact with the technical staff and understand the industrial applications, career opportunities, and skill requirements associated with plastic engineering and technology. Through demonstrations and discussions, students gained awareness of the role of technical knowledge, practical skills, and modern manufacturing technologies in professional environments. The experience encouraged students to relate their academic learning with industry requirements and motivated them to explore emerging opportunities in engineering and manufacturing sectors.

The visit was successfully coordinated by Mr. Neeraj Das (Assistant Professor, MSOET) and Mr. Ankur Srivastava (Training & Placement Coordinator).

Students’ Feedback: The students found the educational visit to CIPET, Lucknow highly informative and enriching. They appreciated the opportunity to observe plastic processing machinery, moulding techniques, laboratory facilities, testing procedures, and manufacturing processes in a practical environment. The visit helped them relate classroom concepts with real-world industrial applications and enhanced their understanding of modern technologies, safety practices, and quality control.

Acknowledgement: We express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Anurag Pandey (Academic Coordinator, CIPET, Lucknow) for his valuable guidance and support in making the visit informative. We also extend heartfelt thanks to our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (Prof. Bhanu Pratap Singh), Registrar (Dr. Girish Chhimwal), Dean Academics (Dr. Neeraj Jain, Lucknow Campus), Dean MSOET (Dr. Rakesh Kumar Yadav) for their encouragement and guidance.
