Industrial Visit to Banas Dairy (Amul), Lucknow

Organised by: MIRC and Maharishi School of Business Management in association with IQAC

Objective: On 17^th September 2026, MIRC and Maharishi School of Business Management (Maharishi University, Lucknow campus), in association with IQAC, organised an industrial visit to Banas Dairy Plant, located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. This visit was organized as part of the curriculum to provide students with practical exposure to the operations of a large-scale Dairy Production facility and to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications in the field of business management.

Participating Students: MBA I semester students.

Visit Details: On September 17, 2026, a student group led by faculty coordinators Mr. Anurag Vaish and Mr. Animesh Dubey (MIRC) visited the Banas Dairy Plant. The HR Manager, Mr. Shreyansh Gadhavi, warmly received the group and delivered an insightful orientation on the company's background. During the guided tour, students observed key operational functions, including automated manufacturing lines, stringent quality control protocols, and the integrated supply chain network driving the facility's operations.

During the visit, Banas Dairy management explained the complete process of milk handling—from collection and testing to pasteurization, packaging, and distribution. While touring the production and testing zones, students witnessed the processing and storage of raw milk under stringent quality and safety standards. The visit ended with an interactive Q&A session where plant experts answered student queries regarding industry challenges, technology, and career prospects.

Students’ feedback: The industrial visit was overwhelmingly regarded by the students as a highly informative and enriching experience. Their feedback indicated that the tour provided them with a deep understanding of Dairy Product processing, the importance of stringent quality control, and the seamless integration of supply chain and logistics. The opportunity to interact with industry professionals provided invaluable practical knowledge and career guidance.
