Hands-on Training on “Generative AI”

    Objective: Maharishi School of Engineering and Technology, Maharishi University, Lucknow Campus, in association with IQAC, organized a Hands-on Training on “Generative AI” on 24th August 2026. The objective of the training was to provide students with practical exposure to Generative AI, its applications, emerging tools, and its relevance in the technology industry.

 

Participants:  94 students of B. Tech(CSE) / B.C.A

Event Details: The hands-on training session was conducted by Mr. Ved Prakash (Trainer, DigiCoders Tech, Lucknow), who introduced the students to the fundamentals of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI) and its practical relevance in the present technological landscape. The session began with an overview of Generative AI, its basic concepts, capabilities, and growing significance across various domains of technology and industry. Students were guided to understand how Generative AI can support creativity, efficiency, productivity, and problem-solving.

The session focused on practical learning through demonstrations and interactive activities. Students were provided exposure to various Generative AI tools and techniques and were guided on their effective usage. The resource person demonstrated practical applications of Generative AI in areas such as content generation, idea generation, problem-solving, productivity enhancement, and technology development. Students were encouraged to explore these applications and understand how AI-based tools can assist them in performing academic and professional tasks more effectively.

The students actively participated in the hands-on activities and experimented with the Generative AI tools demonstrated during the session. The interactive approach encouraged students to explore different possibilities, apply the concepts practically, and discuss their observations. A query and discussion session was also conducted, during which students raised questions related to the use, capabilities, applications, and effective utilization of Generative AI. The resource person addressed their queries and provided practical guidance.The session concluded with a discussion on the emerging opportunities and future scope of Generative AI in education, research, technology, and industry.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Vaishali Singh (Associate Professor, MSOET) and Mr. Ghanshyam Chaurasia (Assistant Professor, MSOET).

Students’ Feedback: The students appreciated the opportunity to participate in the hands-on training on Generative AI. They found the session informative, interactive, and practically relevant. They valued the exposure to Generative AI tools and their applications. It helped them in understanding how AI can be applied to real-world tasks. Overall, the participants found the training engaging, insightful, and beneficial for enhancing their technical knowledge and industry readiness.
