World Earth Day 2026

Date of Event: 22^nd  April 2026

Organised by: NSS Units, Maharishi University, Lucknow Campus in collaboration with Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd. (Bottles for Change Initiative) and in association with IQAC.

Objective: World Earth Day was organized by the NSS Units, Maharishi University of Information Technology, Lucknow on 22nd April 2026 to promote environmental awareness and inspire students and faculty members to adopt sustainable practices under the global theme, "Our Power, Our Planet."

Participating Students: Students and faculty members of Maharishi University of Information Technology, Lucknow campus.

Event Details: Mr. Adarsh Singh, CSR Executive, Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd., delivered an insightful address emphasizing corporate and individual responsibility towards sustainability. The event featured an interactive session on environmental conservation and responsible plastic waste management followed by a pledge-taking ceremony in which participants committed themselves to protecting the planet for future generations.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sapan Asthana, NSS Programme Officer.

The event was convened by Dr. R. P. Dixit, Programme Officer, NSS Unit 2, and witnessed enthusiastic participation.

Students’ feedback: Participants appreciated the informative session and expressed their commitment towards adopting eco-friendly practices and responsible waste management.
