Student Farewell Program “SMRITIYAN 2026”

Objective: Maharishi School of Humanities (MUIT Lucknow Campus) in association with IQAC organized the Student Farewell Program “SMRITIYAN 2026” on 19th May 2026 to bid a warm and memorable farewell to the outgoing undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Participating Students: All students from MSOH
Event Details: The event commenced with the welcome of dignitaries, followed by floral offerings to His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and Goddess Saraswati, invoking their blessings. The celebration was graced by the presence of Dean MSOH Dr. Rupam Singh, Dy Dean Dr. R. P. Dixit, Dean Academics Dr. Neeraj Jain, Dy Dean Dr. Kalyan Acharjya, Dean Student Welfare Dr. Vikas Kumar Shukla and Chief Proctor Dr. Pawan Kumar Dixit along with other Deans/ Dy Deans, whose inspiring words motivated and encouraged the students as they prepared to embark on a new journey in life.
The program was enriched with vibrant cultural performances, including music, dance, and entertainment activities presented by students. Final-year students shared their heartfelt memories and expressed gratitude towards their mentors and classmates, making the atmosphere emotional and nostalgic. Reflecting the core spirit of the day, Jatin Yadav (MA Sem IV, Political Science) shared a touching reflection on his memorable journey and time spent on campus. The event came alive with a series of cultural performances, including an energetic group dance by Akriti Sharma (BA Sem. II), Sanskriti Mishra (BA Sem. II), and Ipshita Chandra (BA Sem. IV), alongside a graceful solo dance by Urvashi Shukla (BA Sem. IV). Adding a literary touch to the celebration, Aryan Pandey (BA Sem. VI) recited a beautiful poem in Hindi.
A major highlight of the farewell celebration was the much-awaited selection of title of Mr. and Ms. Farewell. The selection involved a lively balloon activity and a question-and-answer round evaluated by the judges, Mrs. Pragya Tiwari (Deputy Dean, MSOA) and Ms. Divyanshi Rajvanshi (Assistant Professor, MSOET). Candidates were marked on their responsiveness and personality before the final titles were awarded. During the program, the titles of Miss Farewell (UG) and Miss Farewell (PG) were awarded to Jhanvi Saini (BA) and Chitra Dixit (MSW), respectively, while the titles of Mr. Farewell (UG) and Mr. Farewell (PG) were conferred upon Jatin Yadav (MA) and Shubhankar Rawat (MLISC), respectively. The winners were applauded for their confidence, personality, and enthusiasm displayed during the event.
The farewell celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, group photograph and refreshment for all participants, leaving behind cherished memories and heartfelt wishes for the bright and successful future of the outgoing students. The event was smoothly coordinated and managed by the students and faculty members of the department.
Students’ Feedback: Students appreciated the well-organized arrangements, lively atmosphere, and meaningful activities conducted during the event. The emotional speeches and farewell messages made the event memorable and strengthened the sense of belonging among students.
