Dataverse- Workshop on Data Analytics

Objective: Dataverse-Workshop on Data Analytics was organized by Maharishi School of Business Management, MUIT Lucknow Campus in association with IQAC, from 27th April to 12th May 2026.The workshop aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world applications by enhancing students’ analytical, technical, and decision-making skills in accordance with current industry requirements.
Participating Students: Students from MBA (1st and 2nd Year), BBA (1st, 2nd, and 3rd Year), B. Com and M. Com programmes.
Event Details: The sessions of the workshop were facilitated by Mr. Harshit Verma, Founder of Vision Tech Education (Skill India Training Centre & NIELIT Centre), Lucknow, who served as the Resource Person for the programme.
The workshop commenced with an introduction to Data Analytics fundamentals and its growing importance in business decision-making and industry applications. MBA students received extensive training in Advanced Excel, Python programming, SQL and database concepts, and Power BI for data visualization and dashboard creation. Hands-on exercises and case-based learning activities enabled students to practically apply analytical concepts.
For BBA 1st year students, the sessions focused on foundational analytical tools including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Google Sheets, Google Forms for data collection, and introductory Python programming. The students learned how to organize, analyze, and interpret data effectively.
The sessions for BBA 2nd and 3rd year students emphasized applied learning through Advanced Excel, Python applications, Power BI dashboards, and data interpretation techniques. These sessions were designed to enhance student’s employability and industry readiness by strengthening their practical analytical skills.
For B. Com and M. Com students, the sessions focused on financial and accounting applications using Advanced Excel financial functions and Power BI dashboards relevant to accounting, finance, and business management.
Throughout the programme, students actively participated in practical assignments, interactive discussions, and hands-on lab sessions which significantly enhanced their understanding of Data Analytics tools and methodologies.
Student’s Feedback: The workshop was highly appreciated by the students, who found the sessions informative, practical and industry-oriented. Students expressed that the programme enhanced their confidence in using modern analytical tools and improved their understanding of data-driven decision-making processes. The hands-on learning approach, practical demonstrations, and interaction with the resource person provided valuable exposure to real-world business analytics applications and career opportunities in the field of Data Analytics.
