Date of Event: 21st May 2026

Organised by: Equal Opportunity and Gender Sensitization Cell in association with IQAC

Objective: The Equal Opportunity and Gender Sensitization Cell (EOGSC), MUIT Lucknow Campus, in association with IQAC, organized a Poster Presentation competition based on the theme Shakti and Samata: Indian Cultural Values for Gender Sensitization and Equal Opportunity”, on 21st May 2026.  The primary objective of this initiative was to provide students with meaningful exposure to issues surrounding gender parity, women's empowerment and egalitarian principles. By examining these contemporary concepts through the lens of traditional Indian cultural and ethical values, the event aimed to foster a deeply analytical and socially conscious perspective within the student body.

Participating Students: Students of all schools.

Event Details: The program commenced with a welcome speech by Dr. Rupam Singh (Dean, MSOH), who underlined the critical importance of gender equality in contemporary global society, emphasizing its deep contextual roots in the historical Indian ethos.  Dean Academics (Dr. Neeraj Jain) stated that the role of both genders is equally important in achieving gender equality, and awareness is key to empowerment and bridging these gaps. Dr. R. P.Dixit emphasized that modern gender discourse becomes far more powerful when anchored in the timeless philosophy of spiritual strength and absolute equality.

Demonstrating sharp social awareness and innovative conceptual frameworks, students from diverse academic streams presented creative, highly informative posters that critically addressed vital themes such as gender sensitization, social inclusivity, women's legal rights, and educational equity. These presentations further explored avenues for socio-economic empowerment and the eradication of gender bias, ultimately underscoring a powerful, shared student commitment to building a truly progressive, gender-neutral academic and social environment.

Dr. Rupam Singh (Dean, MSOH) and Dr. R. P. Dixit served as the panel of judges. A rigorous, thought-provoking question-and-answer session ensued based on their posters, wherein they evaluated the students on their thematic clarity, conceptual depth, and confidence. This interactive discourse not only sharpened the students' communication skills but also broadened their academic understanding of equal opportunity frameworks.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Miss Vandana Yadav (Assistant Prof., MSOPS) and the event was convened by Dr. Sarojani Singh (Assistant Professor, MSOH).

Students’ Feedback: Students found the poster sessions highly informative, creative, and conceptually challenging. The peer-learning environment and public presentation format significantly enhanced their confidence and academic articulation. The focus on blending cultural heritage with equal opportunity deepened their internal understanding of social responsibility.
