SAYONARA- Farewell 2026

Objective: The Maharishi School of Engineering and Technology, MUIT Lucknow Campus, in association with IQAC, successfully organized "SAYONARA," a memorable farewell ceremony to celebrate and bid adieu to batch of 2022-23 and 2024-25 of UG and PG respectively on 20th May 2026. The primary objective of a farewell is to bid adieu and express good wishes to those who are departing for their career journey ahead. It serves as an opportunity to acknowledge their contributions and celebrate the time spent together.
Participating Students: All students of MSOET.
Event Details: The Sayonara Farewell Programme 2026 at Maharishi University of Information Technology, Lucknow, unfolded with great enthusiasm, emotion, and heartfelt celebrations. The MUIT ground was beautifully decorated for the occasion and filled with excitement and anticipation as faculty members and students gathered together to bid a heartfelt farewell to the graduating batch of UG and PG students.
A warm and traditional greeting of the dignitaries and outgoing students, honoring them with tilak, set the tone for an exciting programme ahead.
The ceremony began with a Guru Pujan and lamp lighting ritual, performed in the august presence of TM teachers Mr. Sameer Tripathy and Mrs. Sandhya Rani Tripathy, evoking reverence, blessings, and the light of wisdom. It was followed by Neilangshu (B. Tech ME-4th Sem) and Soma Tiwari (B. Tech CSE 4th Sem) welcoming the esteemed dignitaries and students.
Dr. Kalyan Achrajya (Dean - MSOET), extended a warm welcome to the gathering. In his inspiring address, he expressed deep appreciation for the outgoing students, wishing them success and happiness in their future endeavors. He reminded them that while they may leave the campus physically, they will forever remain a part of the MUIT family as esteemed alumni.
The cultural segment of “Sayonara 2026” was filled with vibrant performances by the talented students of MSOET, MUIT Lucknow Campus. The performances showcased artistic excellence and entertained the audience throughout the event.
A soulful Saraswati Vandana beautifully presented by Sneha Kashyap (BCA 2nd Sem) added a divine aura to the celebration and marked an auspicious beginning to the event. The cultural program then commenced with a mesmerizing duet dance performance by Shivam (Diploma CSE 2nd Sem) and Riddhi (Diploma CSE 2nd Sem). A heartfelt poetry recited by Anshika (B. Tech AI/ML 2nd Sem) beautifully expressed emotions, memories, and aspirations associated with student life and farewell moments. The audience was further entertained by graceful and energetic performances including Solo Dance by Saumya (B. Tech AI/ML 2nd Sem), Ayushi (BCA 2nd Sem) and Ritika (B.Tech AI/ML 2nd Sem), along with melodious Solo Singing performances by Hamza (BCA 2nd Sem), Shruti Nirmal (BCA 2nd Sem), and Chavi (Diploma 2nd Sem).
The event also featured energetic Group Dance performances by Nisha (BCA 2nd Sem) and Group, Arthvendra (BCA 2nd Sem) and Group, and Pallavi (BCA 2nd Sem) and Group, which filled the venue with enthusiasm and excitement. The literary segment was further enriched by poetry presentations from Shivam Singh (Diploma CSE 2nd Sem) and Shreyansh Tiwari (BCA 6th Sem), whose expressive words beautifully highlighted friendship, gratitude, dreams, and cherished memories of college life, making the farewell celebration truly memorable for everyone present.
As a gesture of love and remembrance, juniors presented heartfelt tokens of appreciation to the graduating batch. Event volunteers were also recognized and honoured with gift hampers for their tireless efforts behind the scenes. Guests were served refreshments throughout, ensuring a warm and hospitable environment.
The celebration continued with a vibrant DJ music on the university grounds, where students danced in high spirits. The evening ended on a delicious note with a grand feast, while a photographer captured all the memorable moments.
The Sayonara Farewell Programme 2026 was not just a farewell—it was a celebration of growth, friendships, and a bright future. Seamlessly organized, the event reflected the unity and warmth of the MUIT community and left everyone with lasting memories.
The event was successfully coordinated by Ms. Pooja Shukla (Assistant Professor, MSOET) and Miss. Priyanka Vishwakarma (Assistant Professor, MSOET).
Students’ Feedback: The students expressed heartfelt appreciation for the successful organization of “Sayonara 2026” and enjoyed every moment of the celebration. They appreciated the vibrant cultural performances, DJ music, delicious refreshments, and the warm farewell arrangements made for the graduating batch. The outgoing students felt emotional, honoured, and grateful for the love and support shown by their juniors and faculty members. Junior students were also delighted to actively participate and contribute to making the event memorable. Overall, the programme was appreciated as a joyful, well-organized, and unforgettable experience by all participants.
