Industrial Visit to: HCL Technologies, Lucknow

Objective: Maharishi School of Engineering and Technology and Maharishi School of Business Management, MUIT Lucknow Campus in association with IQAC and GUVI-HCL, organized an industrial visit to HCL Technologies, Lucknow on 28th April, 2026. The objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to industry operations, emerging technologies, and real-world applications of their academic knowledge.
Participating Students: B. Tech (CSE & AI/ML) and MBA (Business Analytics)- 2nd semester.
Visit Details: During the visit, students were introduced to the professional working environment of a leading IT organization. They gained insights into software development processes, project management practices, and the use of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Computing. Industry experts interacted with the students and explained current industry trends, skill requirements, and career opportunities in the IT sector.
Students also had the opportunity to understand real-time project workflows, teamwork, and corporate culture. The session was interactive, allowing students to ask questions and clarify their doubts regarding industry expectations and technical competencies.
In addition, the visit included a guided walkthrough of various operational units within HCL Technologies, where students observed the infrastructure, workplace practices, and technological setups used in real-time project execution. The experts emphasized the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, and strong problem-solving skills in today’s dynamic IT environment. Students were also briefed on corporate ethics, data security practices, and professional conduct expected in multinational organizations. The exposure helped students gain a clearer understanding of industry standards and motivated them to align their academic preparation with current market demands.
The visit was coordinated Dr. Kalyan Acharjya (Dean, MSOET), Mr. Akshat Agarwal (Faculty, GUVI-HCL), and Dr. Vinay Kumar Yadav (Assistant Professor, MSOBM).
Students’ Feedback: Students found the experience to be insightful and enriching, as it provided them with a clear understanding of real-world industry practices and expectations. Many students appreciated the interaction with industry experts, which helped them gain clarity about career paths, required skill sets, and current technological trends. The exposure to a professional work environment and live project discussions enhanced their confidence and motivation.
