Educational visit to SLMG Beverages, Safedabad, Barabanki

Organized by: Maharishi School of Agriculture in association with IQAC and MIRC

Objective: An educational visit to SLMG Beverages, Safedabad was organised on 29^th April, 2026 in association with IQAC and MIRC, by Maharishi School of Agriculture, MUIT Lucknow Campus. The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to modern beverage manufacturing processes, high-speed bottling operations, quality control systems, and packaging technologies used in large-scale beverage industries.

Participating Students: B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, II Semester.

Visit Details: During the visit, students were introduced to SLMG Beverages Limited, a leading franchise of The Coca-Cola Company.

At the plant, students were guided by industry professionals. Ms. Mehek (Production Engineer) who explained the complete production line, including bottle manufacturing, beverage filling, sealing, labelling, and loading operations.

Students observed the PET bottling line, which included several automated Stages-Bottle Manufacturing (Blow Moulding), Filling and Capping, Inspection System (FT Machine), Labelling (SACMI Labeller), Coding (Videojet Laser System), Secondary Packaging, Palletizing and Warehousing

In addition, Mr. Manmohan (Assistant Manager, Production) and Ms. Neha Tyagi (HR Executive) emphasized the importance of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygiene, and FSSAI standards in beverage production.

Further, Mr. Narendra Maurya (Assistant Manager, Production) explained the water treatment plant, including purification and filtration processes, which are essential for maintaining beverage quality and safety.

Students also had the opportunity to meet Mr. Banoj Patra (Plant Head), who oversees the plant operations and management.

This visit was coordinated by Ms. Shivani Dwivedi, (Assistant Professor, MSOA).

Students’ Feedback: The students found the visit highly informative and enriching. They gained practical knowledge of automated beverage production systems, quality assurance practices, and industrial safety standards. Observing real-time industrial operations helped them connect theoretical concepts with practical applications and enhanced their interest in food processing industries.
