Employability Skill Training Programme

Objective: Employability Skill Training Programme supported by Mahindra Rise and implemented by Naandi Foundation was organized by the Maharishi School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MSOPS), MUIT Lucknow Campus in association with Naandi Foundation and IQAC during 9th March 2026 14th March 2026. The resource person for this training was Mr. Khalid Imam (Soft Skills Trainer, Naandi Foundation). The training programme was conducted to enhance students’ overall personality and professional competencies, strengthening both verbal and non-verbal communication skills along with build self-confidence.

Participants:  40 students, from B. Pharm and, D. Pharm I & II Year students

Training Details: The Naandi Soft Skills Training program began with an introductory orientation session that familiarized students with the purpose, structure, and expected outcomes of the training. The session highlighted the importance of soft skills in building a successful career and emphasized their role in enhancing communication, personality development, teamwork, leadership abilities, and interview readiness. Students were also sensitized to the significance of such training in improving employability and professional confidence.

   The training was conducted through a well-planned curriculum comprising modules such as Self-Awareness, Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication, Professional Scripting, Goal Setting and Time Management, Resume Preparation, Interview Preparation, Mock Interviews, and Performance Review. Each session incorporated interactive methodologies including discussions, role plays, and practical exercises to ensure effective learning and skill development.

  The programme commenced with the Self-Awareness module, where students were encouraged to reflect on their strengths, weaknesses, and career aspirations. The session also introduced the concept of emotional intelligence as a key component of personal and professional growth.

  The next module focused on Verbal Communication, where students participated in activity-based learning to improve clarity, articulation, and listening skills. This helped them understand the importance of effective communication in both academic and professional settings.

  The Non-Verbal Communication session emphasized the role of body language, facial expressions, and gestures in conveying messages. Through demonstrations and role plays, students learned how non-verbal cues impact confidence and first impressions.

  In the Professional Scripting module, students were trained in structuring formal communication, including professional introductions and workplace interactions. During this phase, participants also completed their registration with the Naandi Foundation for certification and learning resources.

  The session on Goal Setting and Time Management introduced practical tools for setting clear objectives and managing time efficiently. Students were guided on prioritization techniques to enhance productivity and achieve their goals systematically.

  The Resume Preparation module provided insights into creating effective and professional resumes. Students learned how to present their qualifications, skills, and achievements in a structured manner, aligned with industry expectations.

  The Interview Preparation session focused on building confidence and preparing students for real-life interview scenarios. Key aspects such as communication skills, body language, and professional etiquette were covered through simulated exercises.

  On the second last day, Mock Interviews and Performance Review were conducted, where students participated in practice interviews and received constructive feedback to improve their performance.

  The final session addressed Professional Ethics and Interview Review, guiding students on maintaining integrity, confidence, and professionalism in workplace situations.

  The training programme concluded with a Certificate Distribution Ceremony, followed by a group photograph, marking the successful completion of the programme.

  The program was successfully coordinated by Ms. Deepika Gupta, Associate Professor (MSOPS), who ensured effective planning and smooth execution of all sessions.

  Students’ Feedback: Students found the training program highly engaging, interactive, and beneficial. They appreciated the practical and activity-based approach, which helped them understand real-life applications of soft skills. The sessions significantly contributed to improving their communication abilities, confidence, and overall personality development.
