Educational Visit to

STPI- MedTech Centre of Entrepreneurship at

Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI), Lucknow

Organised by: Maharishi School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MUIT Lucknow Campus), in association with IQAC

Objective: The visit to STPI-MedTech Centre of Entrepreneurship (SGPGI, Lucknow) was organised on 24 March 2026 by Maharishi School of Pharmaceutical Sciences in association with IQAC. The primary objective of the educational visit was to provide students with practical exposure to the rapidly evolving field of medical technology and entrepreneurship in the MedTech sector.

Participating Students: Students from D. Pharm and B. Pharm programs

Visit Details: During the visit experts from the incubation centre (STPI, MedTech) delivered insightful presentations on medical technology entrepreneurship. Students were introduced to key concepts such as startup incubation, product development, regulatory pathways, and commercialization strategies in healthcare innovation.

A major highlight of the visit was the practical demonstration of advanced instruments and equipment (like Robotic Operation Theatre, Digital Twins, Neuroendoscopy etc.) used in medical and pharmaceutical applications. This hands-on exposure enabled students to better understand the integration of technology in healthcare and strengthened their ability to correlate academic learning with industrial practices.

The program was successfully coordinated by Ms. Deepika Gupta, Associate Professor (MSOPS), Mr. Aman Agrahari, Assistant Professor (MSOPS).

Student’s Feedback: Students expressed great satisfaction with the visit and appreciated the initiative taken by the Maharishi School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. They found the sessions highly informative and engaging, which helped in enhancing their academic understanding as well as professional confidence. The interaction with industry experts and exposure to real-world technologies were considered particularly beneficial.
