Industrial Visit to Banas Dairy (Amul), Lucknow

Organised by: Maharishi School of Business Management in association with IQAC

Objective: On 11th March 2026, a group of 53 students from the BBA- IV Semester at Maharishi School of Business Management (MUIT Lucknow campus), in association with IQAC, embarked on an industrial visit to Banas Dairy Plant, located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. This visit was organized as part of the curriculum to provide students with practical exposure to the operations of a large-scale Dairy Production facility and to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications in the field of business management.

Visit Details: On 11th March 2026, the students, accompanied by faculty coordinator Dr. Anjuly Singh arrived at the Banas Dairy Plant. They were warmly welcomed by Mr. Shreyansh Gadhavi, the Human Resource Manager, who provided a comprehensive overview of the company. The tour covered critical operational areas, showcasing the highly automated production line, the rigorous quality assurance protocols, and the integrated supply chain processes that ensure seamless plant operation. During the visit, the students were introduced to the overall functioning of the dairy plant. The management of Banans Dairy provided an overview of the dairy’s operations, including milk collection, quality testing, pasteurization, packaging, and distribution processes. The students then embarked on a guided tour of the facility, beginning with the manufacturing and testing area, where they observed the collection, quality testing, and storage of finished Produced products, learning about the parameters used to ensure its quality and suitability for processing.

The visit concluded with a highly engaging Q&A session with key plant personnel, where students had the opportunity to discuss industry challenges, technological advancements, and career opportunities.

Students’ feedback: The industrial visit was overwhelmingly regarded by the students as a highly informative and enriching experience. Their feedback indicated that the tour provided them with a deep understanding of Dairy Product processing, the importance of stringent quality control, and the seamless integration of supply chain and logistics. The opportunity to interact with industry professionals provided invaluable practical knowledge and career guidance.
