National Science Day 2026

Organised by: Maharishi School of Sciences in association with IQAC
Objective: The Maharishi School of Sciences (MSOS), MUIT Lucknow Campus, in association with IQAC, successfully organized the celebration of National Science Day 2026 on 27–28 February 2026. The event was organized to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by C. V. Raman and to promote scientific awareness and innovation among students. This year the celebration was conducted on the theme “Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat”, highlighting the significant role of women in scientific progress and nation building.
Participating Students: Students from different schools MUIT, Lucknow
Event Details: On the first day, Poster Presentation and Model Presentation competitions were organized, where students presented scientific concepts, innovative ideas, and working models. In the Poster Competition, the winners were: 1st Position – Shanaya Srivastava (B.Sc. IV Sem, Biotechnology); 2nd Position – Shubham Singh (B. Tech IV Sem); 3rd Position – Divyansh (B.Sc. VI Sem, Biotechnology). In the Model Presentation Competition, the winners were: 1st Position – Kashish Singh, Arushi Singh, and Ayushi Pandey (B.Sc. IV Sem, Biotechnology); 2nd Position – Darshika Singh (B.Sc. II Sem, Chemistry); 3rd Position – Shivani Pal (B.Sc. IV Sem, Botany).
On the second day, a Rangoli Competition based on the theme was organized where students creatively expressed scientific ideas through artistic designs. The winners were: 1st Position – Isha and Ayushi (B.Sc. VI Sem, Botany); 2nd Position – Aman Kumar Shukla (B.Sc. II Sem, Zoology); 3rd Position – Reema and Babita (B.Sc. IV Sem, Biotechnology).
The Poster and Model Presentation competitions were judged by Dr. Shikhar (MSOPS), Ms. Pranki (MSOPS) and Dr. Vaishali (MSOET), while the Rangoli Competition was judged by Dr. Rupam Singh (MSOH), Dr. Kanupriya (MSOH) and Dr. Chintamani Tiwari (MSOS). The program concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony to felicitate the winners and appreciate the enthusiastic participation of students.
The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Kirti Singh along with other faculty members.
Students’ Feedback: Students expressed that the event was informative, engaging, and motivating, as it provided them with an opportunity to present scientific ideas creatively and enhanced their interest in science and innovation.
