Deeksharambh 2025 - Student Orientation Programme

Objective: Maharishi School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MUIT Lucknow Campus), in association with IQAC, successfully organized ‘DEEKSHARAMBH 2025 - Student Orientation Programme for the newly admitted students of the School on September 1, 2025. The programme aimed to provide an orientation about the University, introduce faculty members, highlight academic and disciplinary guidelines, and motivate students for a fruitful academic journey.

Participating Students: A total of 142 newly admitted undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Maharishi School of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Event Details: The student Orientation Programme, ‘Deeksharambh 2025’, began with the registration and document verification of newly admitted students. The formal session started with Guru Puja by TM Teachers and dignitaries, followed by Ganesh Vandana dance by Ms. Mansi. This was followed by a brief presentation on the University and the School by Mrs. Saumya Srivastava, Associate Professor, who introduced the students to the vision, mission, and unique emphasis of MUIT on integrating academic excellence with Transcendental Meditation (TM).

The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. Pawan Kumar Dean-MSOPS. Video messages from the Hon’ble Chancellor, Director General, Registrar were shown, each emphasizing the importance of discipline, innovation, and holistic development. The presence of Hon’ble Vice- Chancellor and his words motivated the students. Dr. Neeraj Jain, Dean of Academics, delivered a welcome address that formally stated the University’s dedication to academic excellence and student well-being. In her inspiring message, she fortified students to stay focused, resilient, and determined in their journey toward success. Adding a vibrant cultural touch to the program, performances of shayari, skits, songs, and dances were presented by Nafees Ahmad, Ravi, Sadaf, Salman, Anamika, Deepanker, Kartik, Arjun, Fahad, and Khushboo, showcasing their talent and enthusiasm.

The orientation program also focused on sensitizing the students on the Anti-Ragging Guidelines and emphasizing the crucial role of the Proctorial Board in fostering a safe and supportive campus environment by Dr. Pawan Dixit, Chief Proctor. Following this, Mrs. Saumya Srivastava introduced the faculty members of the school. Dr. Prakash Deep then delivered a detailed briefing on class schedules, timetables, and the mentoring support system available to students. Alumni Deepika Shukla and Umair Ahmad shared heartfelt memories from their time at the school, inspiring the new batch with their experiences. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. Nidhi Srivastava, Deputy Dean, MSOPS, acknowledging the contributions of all participants and organizers.

Mr. Nilesh Kumar Pandey, Assistant Professor, anchored the programme with poise. The event concluded formally with the National Anthem, followed by refreshments. A group photograph was also taken. Throughout the day, discipline management was efficiently handled by Dr. Ravi Kant Kushwaha and Mrs. Ankita Mishra ensuring smooth coordination of all activities. Overall, the event was a harmonious blend of tradition, motivation, cultural expression, and academic orientation, marking a memorable beginning for the newly admitted students.

Students’ feedback: Students appreciated the motivational talks and cultural activities, and found the sessions on faculty interaction and anti-ragging guidelines effective in building clarity and confidence.
